UN Youth Hackathon Registration Form -  2021 Edition

This year, MGCY, supported by United Nations Statistics Division (UNSD) and the Regional Hubs for Big Data in Brazil, China, Rwanda and United Arabes Emirates, are organizing a data science Hackathon to encourage young scientists from all over the world to showcase their skills.

The event will bring together teams of students or young professionals from all around the world over the course of 3 days (December 6-7-8 2021). It aims at developing ideas to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, in line with a theme that will be revealed in mid-November.

The Hackathon's goals include:
- Providing a space for young people to develop their data science skills by having direct access to relevant data sets and working collaboratively with their teams and partners of the event.
- Supporting youth engagement in evidence-based decision making through the analysis of data.
- Ensuring participants receive feedback from their peers and professional mentors to scale up their solutions for action towards the SDGs.
- Collecting innovative solutions that may help achieve the 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

If you plan on attending the Hackathon, please submit this form by DECEMBER 3rd 2021 for the MENA region only. Please remember that registration can ONLY be by teams of 3 to 5 people. Only ONE registration form is needed PER TEAM.

Participation is free of charge.
